Our OSHC Mission
To work in collaboration with Catholic Schools in providing a seamless transition between School and Discovery Kids by providing a program that is founded on the values and principles of Christ. From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, the children at Discovery Kids are constantly being exposed to new activities and environments in which to thrive. Our Program
The educational programs at Discovery Kids are created with the children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. We use the EYLF and My Time, Our Place as thesis of our programming. Our Child Care Philosophy is based on developing a lifetime love of learning through the context of Catholic Education.
We believe that secure relationships with responsive and respectful adults provide a solid foundation for learning. With these positive relationships in place, children can develop the capacity for trust, confidence and independence that help them grow as students and people. Our Child Care program aims to support children’s increasing interest in the outdoors, the Arts, and more. Our programs are consciously planned to include autonomy and agency, all encompassed within a positive and supportive atmosphere, where children can relax after a day of school, complete homework and have fun with friends.We have a team of suitably qualified teachers and carers who are employed to provide quality care and uphold our high standards. We ensure that we have a full range of equipment to fully support the desired activities and needs of the children in our care.
